Listings and Submissions Policy

What we list
HorseShows.uk lists horse events in the UK that ordinary riders can enter or take part in. That includes shows, competitions, clinics, camps, fun and pleasure rides, and hunting meets. We also list arenas and venues you can hire, with a link to book. Listing is free and every event is listed the same way.
We list public facts only: what is happening, where, and a link to the venue's or organiser's own page. We don't list the names, email addresses or phone numbers of individual people.
We don't list:
- spectator-only events that riders can't enter
- invitation-only events that the public can't join
- events without a public web page or entry system we can link to
- anything we consider unsafe, misleading or inappropriate
Championships and finals
Any championship or final that riders can only enter by qualifying is shown as a date marker only: its name, dates and place, with no link. The qualifying classes held at ordinary shows are listed in the normal way.
Where an event is
We show the town and county, not a postcode or street address. If an event is held at a private home, we show only the county, with a note that the address is on the organiser's page. When you tell us about a venue you can tick a box to say it is a private home.
Where listings come from
We use simple tools to spot dates on the public websites and entry systems venues, clubs and organisers already use, and a real person checks and confirms each one before it goes live. Every listing links back to the organiser's own page, which is where riders enter and pay.
Telling us about your venue or club
Use the "Add a venue or club" form. Tell us once, with a link to the page where your dates are listed, and we do the rest. We check what you send against your own website before listing it. We may shorten or tidy event titles so they read consistently, and choose which discipline they appear under.
Organisers' responsibility
If you send us a venue, club or event, please make sure the details are correct and that you're happy for them to be public. You're responsible for your event, its entry conditions and any changes. If something changes, update your own website and let us know at hello@horseshows.uk.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong or out of date, email hello@horseshows.uk and we'll check and correct it.
Removing a listing
Listings show public information that venues and organisers have already published, in the same way as a newspaper's events page. We correct errors and remove cancelled events. We don't normally remove an accurate listing on request, but we will always consider a request and respect people's legal rights.
Hunting
We list hunting meets. For safety, we never show the location of a hunting meet.
